Last night the KPHS Symphony Band were treated to a clinic sponsored by the King Philip Music Association. The clinic was conducted by Mr. Rowell the former conductor of the UMASS Amherst Wind Ensemble. Upcoming clinics will be taking place for the chorus and concert band.
he King Philip Tri-Tones, our A Capella group, have been selected as a demonstration choir for this weekends' Massachusetts Music Educators Conference in Boston. They will be working with professor emeritus of Choral Activities at UMass Amherst, Dr. Wayne Abercrombie, for that session. The conference is an annual professional development opportunity for music educators from across the state to come together for three days, during which the All State Chorus, Orchestra, Band, and Jazz Band students rehearse under the direction of renowned conductors for their Saturday Boston Symphony Hall performances. Congratulations!
